If you are new to coaching soccer and do not know how to coach soccer, the following information will be very helpful to you, as it will help you learn how to structure your first training session for young soccer players.

  • Deciding About The Training Area
  • The first and foremost thing for you while training soccer is to decide about the area that is best for soccer training. Whether it is winter or summer, no experienced coach prefers indoor training areas. It is always good to hold soccer training sessions in outdoor areas, on grass fields ? to be precise. An outdoor area like this gives the young players a realistic area to dribble, run and play.

  • Preparation Is The Key
  • Before you start the training session for the young soccer players, make sure that you are fully prepared. All equipments and tools for soccer training are ready. Before the players come on the field, it is your task to make sure that the field is hazard-free.

This means, for example, you have to check the field if there are any broken glasses around. These are little things but can be dangerous enough to spoil a player?s day and your training session as well. Likewise, rutted or bumpy areas should also be avoided.

  • Getting Ready With All The Equipments
  • There are various equipments that you need to have during a typical soccer training session. Some of these equipments are listed below:

? Small cones, as you will require marking out various playing areas

? Colored bibs, as it can be helpful in identifying the teams

? It is good if you have a separate ball for each individual player. If you cannot manage enough number of balls, do not hesitate asking the players to bring one of their own when they come for the training session.

? A first aid kit is one the most important equipments.

? There is one thing that most new coaches do not pay heed to and they try to run the training session on their own without the help of any assistant. Well, that will be quite troublesome, so make sure that you have enough assistants to help you with the training session.

Overall, ?how to coach soccer? is not exactly about making a team that could win matches, but as a prudent coach, your objective should be to make sure that whatever you are going to train your players about, that is in their best interest. Each successful day of training session will automatically lead to the making of a winning soccer team.

Soccer is fun, for children and adults. It is easy and so much fun to play that you really have something great to look forward to, even those that do not know how to play soccer. You will learn in no time.

Play for fun, with your friends or on a team. The most important is that you focus on how fun it is to play.

You can play one on one, with a friend and all the way up to 11 against 11, with a judge and two lines men or woman.

If you refer to how the game officially is played, on a soccer pitch, then 22 players, 11 on each team is the basic rule.

The pitch is like 64 meters wide and about 110 meters long. On each end of the 110 meters, there is a goal where the main purpose of the game is to kick the ball inside the net of the opposite teams goal.

Each team has a goal keeper that is aloud to use his or her hands to save the ball.

The goal keeper has an area of 16 meters from the goal where he can keep the ball in his hands. However he has to kick or throw the ball away, preferably to a player on his team, before he has kept the ball in his hands for 7 seconds.

A standard line up is 4-4-2. That means that a team has a lineup of 4 defenders, 4 midfielders and two attackers.

When your team has the ball in their possession it is a team effort to try to pass the ball, dribble and shoot the ball in the back of the net of the other teams goal.

The same team effort is put forth to try to stop and win the ball back when the opposition has the ball and trying to put the ball in the back of the net behind your own goal keeper.

If you would like to know how to play soccer just for fun, it can be done everywhere, just make two goals of stones or two t-skirts or what ever. Divide the player into two team and start playing.

Remember, one of the ground rules, is that it is only the goal keeper that are aloud to use his hands.

You can even play by yourself, by training your self to be a better dribbler or to pas the ball, or to juggle the ball for better control.

All in all, how to play soccer is a very broad question but playing soccer can be done by everyone everywhere.

Brazilian men's national soccer team dominance takes a new complexion

Brazilian dominance in soccer takes a new complexion. There used to be a time when the Brazilian men's national soccer team were of average size and build. They were small (shorter), fast and skillful. Diminutive in stature but this did not apply to their technical and tactical abilities.

The team might appear to line up in some formal positional formation and set up. Once the game starts it is an all positions for everybody on the team. They seem to play a 1 (goalkeeper) -10 (field) as all the players are in constant motion and are able to play off of each other at any time. The team members do however have certain defensive responsibilities and are accountable for their respective areas.
They truely understand "the game" and are ready to be spontaneous as well as volatile.
The Brazilian team seems to make the opponents play catch up and defensively throughout most of the contest.
A goal scoring opportunity can come from any where and any one on the field and at any time.
The only thing that you can predict is that the goalkeeper will not leave the 18 yard box to act as a forward and score some goals.

Ronaldinho has just acquired his second FIFA international player of the year award in a row. Does he deserve it? Most definitely.
He is a pleasure to observe as he sets up most of his team mates to lead his current team FC Barcelona to the top of the Spanish "La Liga".

Now add the goalkeeper Dida who has been a major part of his team's successes, in the back and Adriano up front who has seemed to be totally unstoppable goal scoring machine on the forward line for the Italian "Serie A", Roberto Carlos on the left where he still has a command on the free kicks, and Ronaldo the task master who often and still shows flashes of brilliance in the mix and you have a fortress of power and abilities few can match.

I think the ball got rolling with the the introduction of Junior Biano as a defenseman in 1998. With the exception of France his presence was a dominant deterant for other teams.
The latest big man to join him is Lucio

Brazil found mass to be a compliment to all their other strengths. It would appear that they have continued to build from there. The average weight of their national team has increased without diminishing their agility and manouverability. Although not a necessity, muscle mass has been a factor in other team sports. This might be true in modern Futbol as speed has become an over-riding factor to the game in the last 15 years. Most of the elite players are also playing in the Italian and Spanish premier leagues and on similar if not the same teams. They are learning from each other by being rivals and combats as well as compatriots.

Here are the possible candidates for the next world cup roster for Brazil.

    Goalkeepers:

    DIDA, J?LIO C?SAR, Defenders:

CAFU, CICINHO, EDM?LSON, GILBERTO Melo, JUAN, L?CIO, ROBERTO CARLOS da Silva, Jos? V?tor ROQUE J?NIOR,

    Midfielders:

EMERSON Ferreira, GILBERTO Silva, JUNINHO Pernambucano, KAKA', RENATO, Z? ROBERTO,

    Forwards:

ADRIANO, J?lio BAPTISTA, Ricardo OLIVEIRA, ROBINHO, RONALDO, RONALDINHO Ga?cho

A team can only be as good as it is a team and is coached as a team.
A team can only be good if all the members play for the team and with the team.
It does NOT matter how many stars you have and how big the egos or the payroll is either. Win as a team and lose as a team.
